A Recent Latin inscription at Salamanca University commemorating the visit of then-Prince Akihito and Princess Michiko to the university. The text is:

AKIHITVM ET MICHIKAM IMPERII IAPONICI SERENISSIMOS PRINCIPES VNIVERSITAS LAETA RECEPIT 28 FEBRVARII MCMLXXXV

(The university joyfully received Akihito and Michiko, the most serene prince and princess of the Empire of Japan, on 28 February 1985.)
