[edit] Early life

Youngest in the family, Bajaj (also affectionately know as "Baggage") completed his schooling from Lawrence School, Sanawar in Himachal Pradesh. It was at Sanawar that he came across adventure sports where he climbed the 12,000 ft (3,700 m) high Friendship Peak near Kullu at the age of 12 and a 20,000 ft (6,100 m) high peak Hanuman Tibba at the age of 16. In 1983 he founded one of India's most successful adventure travel companies, Snow Leopard Adventures.

He graduated from St. Stephen's College, Delhi.

Ajeet made history when he became the first Indian to ski to the North Pole in the summer of 2006.

Ajeet was also the first Indian to reach the South Pole when he flew the Tricolor there on India's Republic Day (26 January 2007). He was part of a 4-person expedition including 3 Americans.[1]
