[edit] Requested move
Erika Shishido → Aja Kong — Per WP:NAMEPEOPLE articles should use a person's most-commonly-used (by other people) name. Aja Kong is her stage name, and the only name that most people know her by. Even though she wrestled under her birth name in the late 80's, and wrestles as "Erika" in HUSTLE, I think Aja Kong is what she's best known as. Geoffg 07:50, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

- Support — I've heard of that name "Aja-kongu" when I saw her on Japanese TV. Long time ago though, perhaps over 10 years ago.--Endroit 10:36, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Question about the pronunciation of her name
Does anybody remember how Aja in Aja Kong was pronounced? Was it pronounced like "Asia" just like in the Steely Dan song?
- It's pronounced like "Ah-ja". The "A" sounds like the "A" in "car". C.V. Reynolds (talk) 20:09, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sorting
A recent edit has brought up an interesting point. Where does Aja Kong's name come alphabetically? It is 'Aja Kong' or 'Kong, Aja'? My feeling is A for Aja Kong, but what does anyone else think? Where did her name come from? That might give us a clue. - Geoffg 05:55, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- Interesting question. My opinion is that Aja Kong is a nickname, therefore it should be put in the A section. In addition, I think her name is meant to be pronounced as "Asia Kong", as with the Steely Dan album/song "Aja". Wvoutlaw2002 18:16, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
