[edit] Ashley Bentley
A tag has been placed on Ashley Bentley, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Onorem♠Dil 14:19, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Creating autobiographies
You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Ashley Bentley. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.
Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.
If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you.♦Tangerines♦·Talk 01:16, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ashley Bentley
With regard to your comment on the articles talk page, firstly you should really read the message above about creating autobiographies. The reason it keeps getting tagged is because you are providing no real content. Before you actually create the article it would be best to have the content sorted and then create the article fully sourced with verifiable third party sources. However, please bear in mind what I said about the message above. Also it should be Ashley Bentley and not Ashely bentley. I really would urge you to find out more about how wikipedia works and how to create articles before creating any more articles. And then start creating them. There is no huge rush, wikipedia is't going anywhere. If you have any questions just ask.♦Tangerines♦·Talk 01:29, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
