I have a feeling that several of the entries under Aiyana#Aiyana the girl's name are vanity entries. I will try to return to this entry for verification, and more fixup. [[User:GK|gK ¿?]] 12:15, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Genetic lineage, not an ethnic group

Aiyana is not an actual (historic or present) ethnic group, but would rather seem to be merely a term coined to describe but one of the several reconstructed genetic lineages based on mtDNA analysis. As such, it might more properly be included in an article on the theory itself, rather than standing on its own here; but for now, I've reworded it & placed into Category:Population genetics & Category:Kinship and descent, and taken it out of Category:Indigenous peoples of the Americas.--cjllw | TALK 02:54, 2005 August 31 (UTC)
