Aiura Nagato
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Aiura Nagato (?-1577) was a retainer beneath the clan of Uesugi throughout the latter Sengoku Period of Feudal Japan. A respective vassal to Uesugi Kenshin Nagamoto would be tasked with the defense of Noto's Fuki Castle initially upon his lord's return to Echigo province in 1577. To his detriment, however, the Hatakeyama launched an assault upon Fuki Castle by the 5th month of that year, ultimately forcing Nagato to commit ritual suicide in consequence.[1]
