Aisling O'Sullivan

Aislinn O'Sullivan is an award-winning Irish actress who starred in the movie The Butcher Boy as Francie's mentally unstable mother who eventually commits suicide. O'Sullivan prieviously appeared briefly in another Neil Jordan film, Michael Collins. She has a part as the grieving mother who also commits suicide in Six Shooter, playwright Martin McDonagh's Oscar-winning short film. She is familiar to Irish television audiences as Dr. Cathy Costello in the hugely popular drama series The Clinic, a role for which she has been nominated for two IFTA Awards. She garnered major acclaim for her performance as Widow Quin in Druid Theatre Company's 2004 production of The Playboy of the Western World which toured many places in Ireland including her native Kerry and also starred Cillian Murphy and Anne-Marie Duff. O'Sullivan trained at the Gaiety School of Acting. Previously to that Aislinn attended COMAD in Dublin, where she sported an American accent.

Aislinn has three daughters with her ex-husband David Howell Evans, named Holly (1985), Arun (1986) and Blue Angel (1989).
