I removed this paragraph, as it contradicts not only the previous paragraph, but also the data in the table, where "market share" and "Passengers per year" are very closely proportional.

Note: market share and number of passengers are quite unrelated. Long haul international flights are much more profitable than shorter national flights (where competition often is even stronger). Freight transport is also a major contributor to profits.

Can someone explain the difference between South America and Latin America as both referred to in the `Oneworld` table as weakness and strength respectively.--Evomutant 16:00, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

I don't know how to do it, but could someone please add Australia domestic as a weakness for Star Alliance. Air NZ, Singapore Airlines, and Thai connect to most Australian cities for International flights, but there is no Star Alliance domestic service since the collapse of Ansett Australia in 2001.
