Perhaps someone could compile a list of airlines that accept airmiles as a form of payment for airefare. i would but i dont know what airlines are involved Shadows604 04:09, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Not within scope of Aviation WikiProject

I don't believe this article is within the scope of the project and have removed the tag. Air Miles operates loyalty programs, where the reward can take the form of flights as well as other rewards. The various loyalty programs operated by Air Miles are not frequent flyer programs - you don't generally get points for flying, but rather collect them from general household expenditure. So I believe, despite its name, it has no substantive link to the subject of aviation. Murtoa 01:47, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Disagree with this proposal. Air Miles is a significant topic in its own right; has been a leading entity in multi-retailer loyalty programs and its various executions across several countries warrants its own article. Murtoa 01:47, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Strongly Disagree, Air Miles is it's own organization, and needs its own article. To merge this with loyalty program would be very silly! Greenboxed 01:15, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Disagree As stated above Air miles is its own company and is synonymous with reward programs in canada and is worth of its own article.Shadows604 03:36, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

According to Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks), the Wikipedia style is to use capital and small letters in corproate names, event where the company involved prefers all capital letters.
