[edit] Article Re-assessment

Why is Air Gear still rated as "Start-Class"? It should be much higher considering how exhaustive it is.--81.156.180.153 (talk) 16:55, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ringo Noyamano

I think she should be place in the main characters section. She is shown with Ikki every step of the way.--Justwisted 05:13, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Yes, why isn't Ringo listed in the main characters? She one of the most important characters to this show. Second only to Ikki. Araxen 18:17, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] King's Roads

Reading the translations provided for the infinity atmospheres in the Kings and Road section, it is written with 'Infinite' as the prefix (ie. Infinite Inferno) But reading the original air gear japanese raws, I think the katakana actually reads as 'Infinity Inferno' rather then Infinite.

eg. インフィニティ.スカーレ would say infiniti sukaare -> Infinity Scale

If Infinite was used instead then the katakana should read インフィニット instead someone please confirm.

When confirmed please make corresponding edits.

Also on a side note. I have changed the Pledge Kings Infinity Atmosphere from 'Infinite Sound' to 'Infinite Scale' as thats what the katakana would be prounounced. Also confirmed by the meaning of the kanji. It is refering to Musical Scales and not sound. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Blkcat13 (talk • contribs) 12:09, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Musicals

Should we add a separate article for the Air Gear musicals? It might get too clustered if we cram the information about the Air Gear musicals on this page.

[edit] CROW

What is the crow always following the main character? 165.21.83.240 13:43, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

its not really gone into its a kinda "pet" crow that nests in his hair, in the more curant chapers its not seen muchShinigami Josh 12:17, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Online Chapters

Where do I get online chapters?

that is not a question for wiki my friend, but google is your friend Shinigami Josh 12:17, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Iriya Natsumi

the chick from sabel tiger, its has her as one of the 33 people ikki jumped over but the only 33 people thing was the devils 33, and in that ikki only had one person at the end of the line and that was ringo. theres no reference so if there isnt a source for it in a few days i will get rid of itShinigami Josh 12:17, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

At the beginning of the devil's 33, she and the rez boa dogs and a few of the others that kogarasamaru beat say they will help Ikki by laying down. It happens in episode 24 of the anime i think. Hope that helps some Kage-Lupus 23:14, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

the devils 30-30 in the manga and anime were different. in the manga only ringo took part in the jump. in the anime kogarasumaru, the sabel tigers, rez-boa dogs and cyclops hammer took part in it —Preceding unsigned comment added by Noahtheimagine (talkcontribs) 23:43, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ball Roler type

it says that there first shown worn by aeon clock when he vs gabishi, but if your look at the early fight of behemoth vs ikkis team, it shows the wierd guy with a tv over his head as wearing them Shinigami Josh 12:26, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Headmaster

I sort of surprised that their is nothing written about the schools headmaster. Considering he gave a place for Kogarasumaru a place to call their home base. Also he is the one it seems that give the Bagram's core to both Sora and Ikki. I think this character still have a lot to do with the development of the storyline. (Duane543 16:01, 15 April 2007 (UTC))

[edit]  ???

Is there going to be a season 2 of Air Gear and if not why??

i know they left it kind of hanging. i thought there would b more then 25. if they got good sense they will make more. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.225.187.91 (talk) 01:00, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Removing Air Trecks

We should remove one or the other one. Air Treck is stated twice with the same information given on the page. Once at the start of the page just before Story and again in the Terms section.... Anyone agree with me with this?--Justwisted 05:58, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

"Air Trecks are motorized roller skates with one wheel in front of each other." I may be wrong, but isnt that just the description of in-line skates? Kage-Lupus 15:30, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:AirGear-01-01-006-007 EDIT.jpg

Image:AirGear-01-01-006-007 EDIT.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 04:46, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mass cleanup of article

This article really needs cleanup, and the parts should at least be separated into these articles:

List of Characters in Air Gear <--- where each character will be categorized under their team, as well as an "Other Characters" part for those without teams.

List of Air Gear terms

Kings and Roads (Air Gear)

List of Air Gear media and materials <--- for the stuff like the musical, voice cast, episode list, manga chapters, soundtracks, etc.

also, the "Air Treck" part just before the "Story" part should be removed, since it's redundant with the Air Treck entry in the Terms section.

comments? this article is annoyingly messy. i'll try to do it myself if there's no response for about...until the weekend.--Chemicalist 13:41, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

since no one has responded, I'll ignore that little bit about the adding stuff in the wiki(the last poster posted way back in january...) I've started editing the article, will do further cleanup tomorrow after initial edits. Still open for comments, and any help is appreciated.--Chemicalist 20:19, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
You should have links in the main article that go to the other articles (Media and Materials, Musical, Kings and Roads, and Terms) even though they are in the template. This will make the main article look more filled out. (Duane543 03:45, 11 June 2007 (UTC))
Filled it out a bit. It did look dry when I edited it. --Chemicalist 17:24, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the clean-up. It looks a lot better now. And this is a few months after i sorted out the Citations..how time flies..LOL. Anyway, is it safe to remove the clean-up tag yet? RedEyesMetal 18:01, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
I believe it is. I haven't been able to edit the other articles(individual character/team articles) but the article itself is cleaned up enough. :)--Chemicalist 14:09, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] episodes

alright so how many episodes are out? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.240.32.10 (talk) 22:48, August 26, 2007 (UTC)

25 Episodes + 1 other they call a special trick. im not sure where it fits in, but it seems to right after Genisis is offered to ikki, and before the school trip. Rillion (talk) 13:07, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Okay, listen up

I've cleaned up most of the team articles and I found the Chapters page which was abadoned by someone. So, can someone clean up the manga chapters page? I'm not too good with that.RedEyesMetal 15:35, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Updated the fair use rationals for all the current images used in the Air Gear articles. When an editor uploads new images and claims fair use, the editor must also write a fair use rational or they will be deleted (wiki is cracking down on images without them). (Duane543 16:38, 15 September 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Long time, no news/updates?

I'm passing by some animes. Eventually found the Manga chapters here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Air_Gear_chapters . I agree on someone at the other discussion about the lack of some information, but I'm sadly in no shape to change this. Also, (nearly, 5 days left) 1 year has passed since the last episode. Seems like hope for a second season is no where to be seen? The manga was last updated on 9 September (2k7), seems like it ended aswel? News or information appreciated. (Is this really the end for a well made Anime?) Ge4ce 16:06, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Well I don't know about the anime, but the manga's not finished yet. Try : http://www.onemanga.com/Air_Gear/ for the most recent manga chapters. 84.143.85.233 19:59, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. To bad there are only a dozen rumours about the Anime or Movie. Some say that it got canceled, and some say the creators are letting the manga move ahead, and some say it's already in the make. On Anime News Network it shows that the last parts of the Anime has not been released yet for the English.

Air Gear - A Battle of Kings (DVD 5) 2007-10-02
Air Gear - Kill 'Em Dead (DVD 6) 2007-12-04

Or I made a mistake on the dates form. One of the few rumours state that there is a (slight) increase in popularity. Anyway, thanks again. Ge4ce 04:53, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Improvements for Character Articles

I've cleaned up the Character articles for Ikki, Kazu and Akito. I created an additional article for Sora for the following reasons:

  • He's been seen quite a lot, especially in recent chapters.
  • His backstory has been explained (though not fully, but its a start)
  • He's become a major plot advancement, and is now one of the "rivals" of Ikki.

Besides this one, would anyone be kind enough to help improve these articles? Because I'm only buying the English version of the manga when it's released, so I'm only using information I find from there. If anyone else thinks that someone else should have an article, please let's talk about it. RedEyesMetal 09:39, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Really well made, trying to add a few things myself. (See Manga Chapters and the page with the episodes) There is a website that already is at chapter 179 (Volume 19 probably). I will help out where I can, it would be awesome if we can add something about the team levels F to A. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ge4ce (talk • contribs) 17:58, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] JSRF

Is Air Gear in any way related to, or based of JSRF?(Jet Set Radio Future), there are many strong similarities. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.91.63.68 (talk) 21:49, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

No. --Chemicalist (talk) 06:15, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
