[edit] Summary
Wheatfield, New York (directly East of Niagara Falls, NY) assembly plant of Bell Aircraft Corporation,. The aircraft in the photo are P-39 Airacobra fighters (the fact that some aircraft have 4-bladed propellers indicates this is the P-39Q version of the aircraft, which used both 3-bladed and 4-bladed props), and P-63 Kingcobra fighters (some planes in the photo have only 3-bladed props so they don't belong to this type). While externally very similar, the P-39 had a smaller and more rounded tail section. To the right of the photo there are four lines of near complete fuselages (with propellor and cockpit), the inner two lines are P-39's.
Library of Congress categorizes it as: TITLE: [Untitled].
