Air superiority fighter aircraft are fighter aircraft designed to control airspace above both enemy and friendly ground and sea, while also completing aerial interception and fighter escort missions. These aircraft carry sufficient electronics and weaponry in a powerful but maneuverable aircraft to deny the use of air power to the enemy.
