Airbus NSR

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Airbus NSR ("New Short Range") is a new project by Airbus that is intended to replace the Airbus A320. Initially expected to enter service around 2014, it would compete with the Boeing Y1. As of 2006 available information is scarce, though preliminary studies indicate that the efficiency improvements over existing models will be only 3-5% until new engine technologies are available.[1] In early 2008 Airbus pushed back the EIS date to 2017-2020.
