Air Chaparral

Air Chaparral was a short-lived start up that only lasted from 1980 to 1982. The airline services were mainly in the state of Nevada. Cities served included:

• Ely, Nevada

• Winnemucca, Nevada
• Fallon, Nevada
• Austin, Nevada

• On March 2, 1981 a Cessna 210 en route from Fallon, NV to Austin, NV, registration N77B, Flew into the ground in rain, snow and low visibility. Six minutes before accident pilot radioed weather in the pass was getting lower and lower. Continued VFR flight into adverse weather. There were 2 fatalities, the pilot and one passenger. [1]
