I don't like him. Your views.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimster 260 (talkcontribs)

I think the "Management Style" section reads like his agent wrote it...—Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.169.6.146 (talk • contribs)

Whoever this unsigned comment came from has clearly never met him. Every single word written there is complete fact and is evident from his remarkable success. Djdannyp 10:25, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Management style

Boothroyd has achieved great things with Watford, and as a Watford fan, I rate him extremely highly. However, the puff piece under "Managment style" reminds me of "Hello" style journalism. This is clearly an opinion piece, and is not suitable in the context of a bio.

For example... "Boothroyd's style is characterised by ....an innate determination to succeed" Do all other football managers display a reluctance to succeed? Is this a characteristic that makes Boothroyd distinct? How can you judge if this is innate?

"and can instill unmatched confidence into any set of professionals." Unmatched? This is not fact, this is your opinion! And ANY set of professionals? WTF! This is effectively saying Boothroyd is the best manager in the world and can make any player brim with confidence... Can you see how this kind of bold statment may be a touch unsuitable

"His enthusiasm and passion for football has rubbed off onto his players, who are thence able to perform at the peak of their abilities" Which players? Have all Aidys players hit consistant peak form. Who is the judge of whether his players are playing at the absolute top of their abilities? You perhaps? Or is this another "truth" evindent to all humanity, separate from your "opinion"

I rate this guy very highly, but his bio appears to have been written by his mum... Its content and style are certainly not in keeping with those of Wikipedia

Adrian BoothroydAidy Boothroyd — Aidy Boothroyd re-directs to this article, under his full name. But he's generally called Aidy. Even if the BBC/Sky tend to vary - the Watford official site calls him Aidy [1], the LMA calls him Aidy [2] and he signs his weekly e-mail Aidy as well. I certainly haven't seen him referred to as Adrian by either fans or the club itself for a good year and a half now, so I think the article should be moved to reflect his common name. 15:51, 31 October 2007 (UTC) —HornetMike 15:51, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
