- Multifactorial etiology for AIDS: In 1994 Montagnier published the book "Virus" (Original title "Des virus et des hommes"), where he argued for the possible existence of mycoplasmas, virus, bacteria (pages 177) and oxidative stress (pages 184-186) as possible AIDS cofactors [1]. The Perth Group asked Montagnier a clarification on this concept.
