Hi. Look, I'm sympathetic to your goals of providing information, and from a glance at the website it seems to be a good resource. It definitely belongs as an external link in articles like AIDS and HIV. However, it does not merit an article of its own. The article does not assert the notability of aids.gov, and I can't find any reliable sources that will permit such an assertion. Verbatim copying of text from one website onto Wikipedia has a strong whiff of advertising. Please read our policies on notability, the notability of websites, and, if you are an employee of HHS's AIDS.gov project, our conflict of interest policy. This portal provides comprehensive government-wide information on HIV/AIDS for the general public, Federal agencies, state staff/public health departments, Federal grantees, medical institutions, research institutions, and HIV/AIDS-related organizations. I declined to speedy it, for I think it could be turned into an acceptable article. I started doing so. It would be useful to have some references from non-governmental sources added that talk about the importance of the site. DGG (talk) 19:01, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Good luck finding independent refs - I wasn't able to locate anything through google or lexisnexis. Google has many hits for aids.gov that are primarily intra-government links, the rest seem to be simple links that do not discuss the site in any detail. The article's sole claim to notability is a press release by the HHS, which is not a non-governmental source. In fact, the article fails every criterion for inclusion at WP:WEB.
