Assessment comments

The link to soil science in the agricultural science article (under the heading,fields of Agricultural science) should be removed to the science article under the heading earth sciences. This change is needed to maintain a NPOV,consistent with the International Council for Science which has accepted as equal Scientific Union members the IUSS, IUGS, and IUBS.

So are soil science and agricultural science synonomous, or is one considered a subdiscipline of the other, or are they just separate? There needs to be more integration of the two articles, soil science and agricultural science. They have partially overlapping content, but don't seem to be very aware of each other's existence.--ragesoss 15:14, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Differences between this article and Agronomy

Doing some translation, I saw that some articles link to Agricultural science and other to Agronomy.

According to wiktionnary: wikt:agronomy :

agronomy: the science of agriculture, especially land and soil management and crop production

whereas Agronomy

Agronomy is a branch of agricultural science that deals with the study of crops and the soils in which they grow

Yes Agronomy is only a part of AgriScience in my view. It is more of a plant and soil view of science therefor it was assumed to be called AgriScience gamepro/redx/cowboy/farmboy 20:15, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
