Agecroft Power Station was a coal fired power station in Pendlebury, Greater Manchester, England. It was operational between 1947 and 1993[citation needed]. Closure was announced in November 1992 and demolition commenced in 1993. The cooling towers were demolished on the 8th May 1994[1] . The site is now occupied by HM Prison Forest Bank.
