[edit] Your image uploads

Hi there! you cannot just rip off any odd image from some webpage, upload it onto Wikipedia, and claim "free use"! Unless a web site clearly says that an image is under a free license, you have to assume images are copyrighted. See e.g. Image:Sanguinetti-Batlle 29.11.1999.jpg, Image:Uruguay.Jorge Batlle Marzo 1 2000.jpg, or Image:Ogestido.gif... Wikipedia:Copyright is a good place to start to learn about copyright and the policies applicable on Wikipedia. Lupo 12:51, 5 October 2005 (UTC)

It is a particularly bad idea to upload images ripped off some web site and then claim you had taken them yourself and tagging them {{GFDL-self}}. Don't do this. Respect the copyright of others. Continued copyright violations may get you blocked from editing and uploading. Lupo 10:00, 6 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Criminality in Argentina

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Criminality in Argentina. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed.

Since you wrote the article in question, if you want it to be deleted, the easiest thing is to add {{db-author}} to the top of the article, and it would be deleted fairly quickly. NickelShoe (Talk) 15:05, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
