[edit] Usage
This template is used for closing Debates on Articles for Deletion. The template, and its optional parameters, are added to the debate above the debate's heading (almost always the article name). If a parameter is entered, the template will insert a bolded deletion result, such as Delete or Keep. Otherwise, the template will insert the line "The result was", to which any rationale may be added as text outside the template.
The parameters available are:
- {{subst:Afd top}} gives "The result was ". The old way; add text behind the template.
- {{subst:Afd top|d}} gives "The result was Delete. "
- {{subst:Afd top|k}} gives "The result was Keep. "
- {{subst:Afd top|m}} gives "The result was Merge. "
- {{subst:Afd top|nc}} gives "The result was No consensus. "
- {{subst:Afd top|sd}} gives "The result was Speedy delete. "
- {{subst:Afd top|sk}} gives "The result was Speedy keep. "
- {{subst:Afd top|r}} gives "The result was Redirect to "
- {{subst:Afd top|any text.}} gives "The result was any text. "
