"Thekkel" family is one of the leading land holding, encient roman catholic families in this locality. Late Rev. Bishop Abraham Elanjimattam (Bishop Of Kohima )was born and bought up from this village. Paika valiya thodu and cheria thodu is starting from this beautiful place and ends in Meenachil river.
