Adnan Khairallah

Adnan Khairallah (Arabic: عدنان خير الله طلفاح ; died May 4, 1989), is Saddam Hussein's brother-in-law (Sajida Talfah's brother and Khairallah Talfah's son) and his cousin. He held several titles, before dying in a helicopter crash near Mosul in the late eighties. It was rumoured that Saddam Hussein ordered his death.
Although a relative of Saddam's, he remain's a popular figure and a square in his name exist to this date within al-Karkh, Baghdad where a statue of still stands (unlike any other statue referring to the previous government, that have been knocked down after the fall of Baghdad in 2003).
