Talk:Administrative county

[Administrative counties] were never established as separate entities ... Perhaps someone can explain what this statement is suposed to mean. Seems to me they were very, very similar to English and Welsh counties.

- I presume they mean that the term "administrative county" was not used in Scotland: the areas run by county councils established in 1890 were just "counties", in contrast to England, Wales and Ireland. It's a lousy sentence and needs editing into a more understandable form tho' Lozleader (talk) 19:31, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
