Account created because I'm fed up of seeing the Wikipedia advert with Jimmy Wales's video across the top of MY screen and need something quick and easy to remember to log in with so I can click the "hide" link to get rid of it

I don't need to donate money to your foundation. You already have all the articles that myself and others contributed for free, the articles that made you one of the top 10 sites on the net. I dispute that you need more funds to carry on existing (maybe you do need more funds to expand, but that's a different matter) and I honestly don't care if you sink due to a lack of funds. Someone else will take your place if you do

This [1] tells you how (no longer fully works)

• Sign up an account (it can take literally 10 seconds, no email required)
• Copy the text after this sentance (including the first full stop) .fundraiser-box { display: none; }
• Go to your your monobook.css page by clicking that link
• Paste the text you saved into the box and click "Save page"
• All done. If the advert is still on some pages you've already visited, clear out your internet cache/temporary internet files
