Adam Moffat is a Scottish football midfielder who currently plays for Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer. Moffat spent his earliest years as a player for Ross County and Elgin City in the lower levels of the Scottish League. In 2007, Moffat made a move to USL-2 club Cleveland City Stars and stood out enough to be named to the league Best XI and was shortly thereafter picked up by the Columbus Crew, joining his former USL-2 teammate Andrew Peterson.
Moffat scored his first senior goal on March 29, 2008 against Toronto FC in the 26th minute. This also happened to be the first goal scored in the 2008 MLS season.
