Adam McNaughton

Adam McNaughton is a Scottish folk singer, noted for his songs on post-War Glasgow. Amongst his works are The Jeely Piece Song, a humorous song about tower blocks and Where Is The Glasgow That I Used To Know?, which was quoted by Prince Charles at the opening of the 1988 Glasgow Garden Festival.
He was a teacher of English at the now-defunct Rutherglen Academy, and later at Cathkin High School. He later owned a second-hand book shop in Parnie Street in Glasgow.
He was also head of English at John Steet Secondary, Tullis Street Bridgeton in the 1970's
