Adabas D

Adabas D is a relational database system previously owned by Software AG. Sun Microsystems makes use of Adabas D for its product StarOffice.

Software AG has another database management system called ADABAS, which is a separate product and has little in common with Adabas D except the name.

Adabas D is now MaxDB owned by SAP and is a closed source database targeted for large SAP environments e.g. mySAP Business Suite
