This artical should not be merged with acrylate as an acrylate is a single ion (although could be a polymer ion but is not usually the meaning of the term) rather than a polymer. They are two distinct concepts. --Ksbrown 20:53, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Acrylates are not strictly ions, but can include esters of the acrylate functional group. However, I agree the polymers page should be kept separate from the monomer (Acrylate)page. Secondly, is n-butanol really a monomer for acrylate polymers? That is not evident to me. King harvest 17:00, 19 July 2007 (UTC)King harvest
