"Acrid Placidity" is an instrumental by the heavy metal group Meshuggah from the 1995 album Destroy Erase Improve. This instrumental showcases Meshuggah's jazz fusion influences. It was composed entirely by rhythm guitarist Mårten Hagström, and is peculiar in that it departs from the "Meshuggah-sound", and features no crushing riffs or heavy drumming, only soft near-acoustic instrumentation.
