Stuffed peppers is a world famous dish which exists in different names and forms around the world.

American Stuffed peppers is an dish American cuisine which consists of cooked green bell peppers filled with meat, typically beef, along with breadcrumbs, egg, herbs or spices, especially paprika and parsley, and cheese. Recipes vary, but often includes the following: first removing the seeds, boiling the peppers, stuffing them, covering with the cheese, and baking the combined foodstuff. A sauce may be served with them, most commonly a tomato sauce, but this, too, varies greatly.

Ardei umpluţi (IPA[ar.'dej um.'pluʦʲ]) is Romanian for "stuffed peppers". Ardei umpluţi, in the Romanian cuisine, are usually prepared with bell peppers (or a similar species) stuffed with ground meat, usually pork, rice, onion and other vegetables and spices.

The Mexican cuisine has more than one stuffed pepper dish:

  • The Chile relleno, literally "stuffed pepper", consists of a roasted green Pasilla or poblano chile pepper stuffed with cheese (traditionally queso fresco), and/or (rarely) minced meat, covered in an egg batter, and fried. It is oftentimes served covered with a sauce, although the type of sauce varies widely. It is sometimes also served in a taco with rice, salsa and other toppings.
  • Jalapeño poppers are jalapeño peppers that have been hollowed out, stuffed with a mixture of cheese, spices, and sometimes ground meat, and then deep fried.
  • The Poblano is a mild chile pepper, just slightly spicier than a bell pepper.
