Aceh Besar Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of Aceh province, Indonesia. The regency is located at the northeast tip of Sumatra island and it covers an area including the provincial capital of Banda Aceh. The seat of regency government is Jantho. The regency is divided more into 22 subdistricts (kecamatan).
