Abreus is a municipality and city in the Cienfuegos Province of Cuba.

The municipality is divided into the barrios of Abreus.[1]

It was founded in 1840.[1]

In 2004, the municipality of Abreus had a population of 30,330.[3] With a total area of 564 km² (217.8 sq mi),[2] it has a population density of 53.8/km² (139.3/sq mi).
