[edit] Death Metal

Abhorrence were a death metal band. This is stated in their metal-archives entry, as well as on rockdetector and band's official site. Someone mistakingly tagged 'em here as doom metal, so I edited it to death metal. Nothingagainst 11:42, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for doing so, was tagged as Doom on Tomi Koivusaari's page too, which I fixed. By todays standards we probably do sound like doom metal to some extent, but I personally wouldn't call it that now either. It was brutal scandinavian death metal back then and I think it is what it is. --Shrike 20:06, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Doom/Death

This is the best description, that i can give, from Abbhorrence. Dynamic, slow, plodding, dark. There's elements of doom metal too. Also popular doom/death bands, come into mind from their music. And their followers Amorphis comes to mind too and they were also doom-death.

PS. I've listened Abbhorrence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.112.0.131 (talk) 15:51, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Abhorrence had nothing to do with doom/death, what so ever. Please familiarize yourself with death metal history and history of the band. If you have to categorize the music, more than saying it is death metal, it would be called old school scandinavian death metal.
PS. I sung in the band and thus have also listened to Abhorrence.
