--- Math problem with his age...he's listed as being born in 1936, but then later in the article it says he made his debut at age 17 in 1958 (implying that he was born in 1940 or 1941)

Somebody with a reliable source for his birthday should fix that

What the hell are those deep, permanent cuts on the top of his head from? Buzda 10:21, 1 November 2005 (UTC)

If you've ever seen any of his matches (or even clips from his matches), you'd notice that he often bleed during his matches (with typically large amounts of blood). Blading that much over such a long period of time (six decades) is bound to leave some scars. Jeff Silvers 23:17, 8 November 2005 (UTC)

He had those surgically done to enhance his apperance. Those groves are huge and not consistent with gig marks. I am a pro wrestler, I can verify this.64.12.116.132 17:14, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

However, it wasn't just blading, it was also getting jabbed in the forehead with pencils and forks and whatever else was available.--Darren Jowalsen 15:31, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

My understanding of the grooves is that they're from chair slams over the head. I saw him perform a few years back and a steel folding chair became part of the act. But it would not surprise me that they were created surgically. Bleeding seems to have been part of the style of wrestling going decades back. Marty55 03:21, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

I somehow doubt that his myspace page is real.

This article is pitiful...he drew as much money in Japan AND North America as anyone else. I am getting his shoot interview in the mail...apparently he shoots the whole thing, but I'll try to use it to beef this up, I'd like it if someone would help me.

[edit] Actual height?

I wonder what Abdullah's actual height is. I have heard that wrestlers are always billed as being taller than they really are. There is a long, unending discussion on the Andre the Giant page about Andre's height. I just downloaded an old match where Andre and Abdullah faced off. If Abdullah really was 6'1", then I can see how Andre could have been 7' or taller. If Abdullah was less than 6'1", then I can believe more easily those people who claim Andre was no more than 6'10" - or an absolute maximum of 6'11". 70.54.127.227 16:39, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Karate and judo knowledge

Okay, so the intro states "knows a minimal amount of judo and karate", while the career part states he "eventually earning the title of seventh-degree grandmaster". Now what? I will now remove the deprecatory "minimal amount" part of the intro and added a "citation needed" to the other remark. Tierlieb (talk) 21:08, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
