Abatos
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Abatos, also Abaton, was a rocky island in the Nile, Egypt near Philae, which the Egyptian priests alone were permitted to enter. Abatos was mentioned by both Seneca[1] and Lucan[2]. The name was later used by astronomers for a plateau on the moon Triton.
