This movie was known in Germany as Der Goofy Film, which means The Goofy Film in English.

Why is this here? I don't see any justification for including the Japanese voice cast for this movie, especially since no other dub-cast is even mentioned. Unless someone can demonstrate why the Japanese dubbing cast (and ONLY the Japanese) needs to be here, it has to go. Chalkieperfect 18:11, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

This movie has "a substantial cult following"? Really? I'm not sure I'd want to meet someone who was a part of that. But I kind of want to hear someone back up this odd claim.--Zincomog 04:38, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

• by "It ain't a cult film." do you mean noone likes it and it doesn't have a small but dedicated following or just because you don't think it was all that great and don't think it deserves a small cult following?
• I have no knowledge of this movie having any kind of cult following. It was modestly popular, and of course I'm sure there are groups and/or individuals who think it was the best movie in history (to be honest, I love this movie), but there's a lot more to "cult following" than just "group of dedicated fans"-- EVERY movie has a fan-base, but not every movie is has a cult following. This movie contains certain controversies, which are that when P.J. was walking out of Principal Mazur's office, he was punched in the face by Principal Mazur (the performance was excluded, due to content censorship in order to release this movie under a "G" rating), and the song "Staying Alive" from the R-rated film, Saturday Night Fever, which was later released with a "PG" rating with at least six minutes cut from the film. --PJ Pete

A little dubious as to the latter part being "controversial" by now, at least partly because it was something of a hit for the Bee Gees separately from the movie. But you do have one point, they could look for better sources for background music. WAVY 10 23:24, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure because it seems more like their last year in junior high, especially if Max is supposed to be a College freshman for 2000's An Extremely Goofy Movie. WAVY 10 18:04, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Anamorphic DVD release?

The info on this Wiki entry says that the PAL DVD of this film is non-anamorphic. However, I've seen PAL-speed clips from the film on (I admit it) YouTube, and they're squeezed, as if it was a 16:9 source ripped at 4:3. No, I won't give links, just look it up...
