A Grande Arte

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Grande Arte (High Art in English) is a book written by Brazilian writer Rubem Fonseca and also a 1991 thriller movie starring Peter Coyote.

The book deals with a lawyer, Mandrake, trying to track down the killers of a Rio de Janeiro whore, that was Mandrake's personal friend. After being caught and almost killed by the pair of hired killers, the desire for vengeance grows stronger and the lawyer peels the mistery behind a large underworld criminal organization based on Brazil.

Eventually the clues take the photographer from the dark alleys of Rio to the dry highlands of Bolivia.

The movie is some kind different than the book, in the book there's a lawyer unveilling the secrets of the organization, in the movie there's an american photographer.

It is also known as Exposure in the U.S. market.
