A statement like: "[the novel] has since been recognized as a precursor of postmodernism" places way too much on emphasis on this single, widely unread novel. The new phrasing "it is seen by some as an early example of postmodernism" is more neutral, but I would still like to see a source cited to ground this claim.AshcroftIleum 06:07, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
