The image of Glen Croe is a nice photo but misleading in the context of describing the A83. The tarmac road in the foreground is I think the B828 but anyone not knowing the area is likeley to think that its the A83.--JBellis 18:20, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
The tarmac road in the foreground is actually the old military road which the 'new' A83 was built to replace and not the B828, the picture is on the stretch looking south east along Glen Croe itself between the B828 and Ardgartan. Fraslet 18:26, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- If you click on the image thumbnail itself you will find it will enlarge to a full size Hi-resolution image, which will make things more clear, as per the text below the picture:- Click on picture to enlarge and see info the info being:- Glen Croe, Scotland. Viewed from 'Rest and Be Thankful' Car Park on the A83. The A83, Ardgarten to Invarary road is seen passing along the left of the picture above the old drovers road in the valley bottom.. It may take a minute or two to download. Thanks for the compliment on the photo, but the description is correct as I put it when I uploaded it. The B828 was behind and to the right of me, when I took the photo, it is the road that skirts the edge of the viewpoint and then goes up over the hill and down the other glen, to join the B839 into Lochgoilhead. If you click this link:- Image link shortcut it will take you to the image itself, click on it again to enlarge it further then place your cursor over it and a magnifying glass should appear allowing a further enlargement.
