Talk:A74 road
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The entry on the Glasgow section of the A74 is incorrect. It does not end at the Tollcross terminus of the M74 but at the B7071/A721 junction in Uddingston. The 'small remnant' remark is also relative. The A74 from the City Centre out to Uddingston is almost 10 miles long.--Stevouk 14:46, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Importance
The northern end of the A74 is a major route into Glasgow. According to the Highways Agency, the southern end carries three quarters of all Anglo-Scottish traffic. That's 44,000 vehicles a day, slightly more than the first section of the high-importance A1 I found a figure for (Bedford). Is "low-importance" sufficient for the A74?
