Description

A Douglas A4D-2 Skyhawk (BuNo 145029) of U.S. Marine Corps attack squadron VMA-121 Green Knights passing the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) after a wave-off. VMA-121 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 15 (CVW-15) aboard the Coral Sea for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 19 September 1960 to 27 May 1961. Note that VMA-121 did not adopt CVG-15´s tail code "NL", but kept its own "VK".
