A Douglas A4D-2 Skyhawk (BuNo 145006) of attack squadron VA-83 Rampagers is refueling a Vought F8U-1P Crusader (BuNo 146829) of photo reconnaissance squadron VFP-62 Fighting Photos. Both squadrons were part of Carrier Air Group Eight (CVG-8) aboard the carrier USS Forrestal (CVA-59) in the early 1960s. |

Note: The date given "26 Jun 1987" has to be incorrect, as both types of aircraft were long out of the US Navy inventory. Also, the Skyhawk BuNo 145006 crashed 17 km (10 mi) astern of USS Forrestal on 16 November 1962. The pilot was killed in this accident. |
