A.W. Hackel

A.W. Hackel born in Austria 18 December 1882 died in Los Angeles 22 October 1959 was an American film producer who started Supreme Pictures in existance from 1934-1942.[1]. Hackel contracted Bob Steele for 32 of his Westerns.[2]
In 1936 Republic Pictures needed more Westerns and made a deal with Hackel who released his films through Republic.[3] After the demise of Supreme Pictures, Hackel released through Monogram Pictures. All of his pictures were Westerns with the exception of Am I Guilty? a 1940 race film.
