Talk:A. Peter Dewey
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wayne: I found a site devoted to A. Peter Dewey. I'm thinking of expanding this article based on the information presented. However, I'm not great at writing. If someone wants to help out, that would be great.

[edit] Vietnam War
If, as the article states, the Viet Minh and the French were not yet in conflict, and, as stated in that article, the Vietnam War was the Second Indochina War, with the First Indochina War starting in 1946, is there in fact any reason to consider A. Peter Dewey a casualty of that war? By the same logic, one might search for the first American killed in Japan and label him the first American casualty of World War II.

That's riht. Let's say Vietnam simply. Dewey came to Saigon in the South from Colombo ( Ceylon) as did the Free French Detachment in the impedimenta of General Cracey with his Indan Division to disarm the Japanese, while Archimedes Patti came to Hanoi from Kunming (Yunnan).
