| Description |
Two Douglas A-4F Skyhawks (BuNo 155064 (foreground), 155033) of composite squadron VC-7 Redtails over California (USA) in 1975.
Official NMNA text: "Accepted by the U.S. Navy on 30 August 1963, the museum aircraft served in a number of attack squadrons, including Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 533 and Attack Squadron (VA) 125 before joining VA-153, which took the aircraft into combat on board the carrier Coral Sea (CVA-43) during 1968-1969. The aircraft then joined VA-164, making its second combat cruise in Hancock (CVA-19). Joining VMA-223 in 1970, the aircraft served at Marine Corps Air Stations (MCAS) Yuma, Arizona, El Toro, California, and Kaneohe, Hawaii, until assigned to Composite Squadron (VC) 7 at NAS Miramar, California, in 1975. For the following years it flew as an aggressor aircraft with that squadron and VF-43, after which it was assigned to the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, flying with the Blue Angels until 1986."
