I'm not sure but I know that it's short for Aznavourian. -- Aivazovsky 18:38, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

My guess is that Aznavour may come from the Armenian word Azniv (Ազնիւ) that means something in the likes of respectful, kind. - Fedayee 21:19, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
