The show follows the misfortunes of Aida, her disfunctional family and her seedy neighbourhood.

Aída is an ex-alcoholic divorced mother who works cleaning stairs. When Aida's father dies, she must live with her rude mother and her stupid brother. There, in the street she was born, she starts a struggle to bring up his family.

Aida's brother. He's stupid because he was a drug addict.

Aida's mother who was a famous singer in the early democracy years in Spain. Now, she is fat and poor.
