[edit] Highlander edits

I would like you to drop me a line before you continue editing the Highlander universe articles. You are making some mistakes, and I was hoping we could save time and clear them up instead of having me revert (and in some cases, re-revert) your changes. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 06:41, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for getting back tome so quickly. This will be my last message of the night, so I hope I cover everything.
  • Regarding the material from the novelizations, you need to cite where the material is coming from. Just saying its from the novelization of the film is almost never sufficient. If its from a comic book, there are citation templates for that as well.
  • Yes, these sorts of oversights about citing the references have been quite lax, due to the dearth of info available about Highlander.Hopefully that will now change, and we can add the same level of citations that are required for other film/multimedia articles. If you see uncited material, tag it with a 'cn' template tag.
  • I am not disagreeing that the dates are important to the mythology of Highlander. I am clarifying that we do not wikify fictional dates that are set in a fictional universe. It's perfectly okay to refer to 1522 AD or 2027; it is not okay to wikify them as 1522 AD or 2027.
  • I am unsure as to what compromise citation (that arose fromt he edit-war last year) you are referring to, 98.
  • I agree that continuity between filmic universes needs to be maintained; the look of the Star Trek entries for that universe have to resemble in format those of the Star Wars, Babylon 5 and Highlander. I don't mind the usage of non-film sources. They need, however, to be cited. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 07:23, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
It was very nice working with you, too, User:98etc. Some people are simply beastly to endure. You are not one of them. You should seriously consider starting a name account and build up edits. Anons get little in the way of respect, as a lot of them are vandals. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 18:05, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
