I wondered if anyone has any information on the interesting colours in the photograph. Is is a photographic phenomenon, or does the asteroid actually have that mottled colouration? CharlesC 14:23, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

The colors are exaggerated in this image; they're based on real but subtler variations. A good source for this kind of info is the website Views of the Solar System (www.solarviews.com) The Singing Badger 16:08, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
